Fire Truck Santa Info!!!

What exactly happens during a Santa visit?

Santa will arrive at each stop in a festively decorated fire truck. He will visit with all the children and allow parents to take photos of him with the kids by the truck. Before his visit ends, Santa will hand each child a gift (which has been dropped off in advance by a parent/guardian).

How long will Santa’s visit with us be?

Santa will spend approximately 15-20 min at each stop on his route.

What is the cost for a visit with Santa?

The cost is $25/child. There is no charge for children under 12 months of age.

What is the min/max number of children allowed at each stop?

In order to visit as many children as possible during his time in Mansfield, there is a minimum requirement of 8 children (12 months and older) per stop.

I only have 7 children in my party. The guidelines say we need a minimum of 8 children per stop. Can we still participate?

Yes, Santa will still visit if you have fewer than 8 children in your party, however, the donation will still be $200 for that stop. (Minimum is $25 *8 = $200). If you want a personal visit with Santa, you can pay the $200 and Santa will stop even if you only have one or two children. The visit will still last approximately 20 minutes.

What dates is Santa visiting Mansfield?

Saturday December 7th 11am – 2pm & 2pm – 6pm

Sunday December 8th 12pm – 3pm & 3pm – 6pm

Something came up on the day of our scheduled visit. Can I reschedule?

Unfortunately, no. There are lots of details to organize to make this project run smoothly. Once you have been assigned a day and time, and submitted payment, we cannot change it. If this happens, we encourage you to find someone to take your place. If you have already dropped off a gift for delivery and can no longer participate, an MWOT volunteer will be sure to return the gift to you.

When and where do I drop off my gift for delivery?

Gift drop off will take place at the Mansfield Airport's Community Room on November 12th for 12pm - 3pm. MWOT will communicate additional info regarding gift drop off with your party’s Point of Contact once payment has been received in full.

Are there restrictions on gift size?

Since Santa is arriving by fire truck instead of his magical sleigh, we need to restrict the size of the gifts he is delivering. Gifts can be no larger than 12” x 12” x 12” and no heavier than 5 lbs.

Should my gift be wrapped?

We recommend wrapping the gifts, but this is really up to you.

My party has been selected for a visit with Santa! When should I send my payment?

Payment must be received by your entire party in order to secure your date and time slot. We recommend having one main Point of Contact for your party who collects and submits the full payment.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept credit card or electronic payments, such as Venmo, through the platform GiveButter (link to be provided) https://givebutter.com/FTSanta2024

A check may also be sent to: MWOT, PO Box 285, Mansfield, MA 02048. Please make checks payable to “Mansfield Women of Today”.

Can my family members from a neighboring town participate or is this only open to Mansfield residents?

Santa is only visiting Mansfield addresses, however, family/friends from surrounding towns can be included in your party.

What number am I on the wait list?

We will notify you by email to let you know if you are on the wait list. At that time, we will let you know what number your party is on the list. If we have a much larger than expected wait list, MWOT will consider adding an additional date to the event if feasible.

My visit with Santa is today! How will I know that he is on schedule so my party is not waiting outside in the cold for 20 min waiting for his arrival?

An MWOT volunteer will be calling the host/party organizer about ten minutes before Santa’s arrival. This will allow you enough time to bundle up the kiddos, get your cameras ready, and notify the others in your party (in case they’re waiting in their cars in your driveway, or coming from next door, etc.). Part of the fun is seeing the decorated truck coming down the street so we hope everyone is outside when Santa arrives!

What non-profit organizations are benefitting from this project?

Your donation will be going to the Mansfield Women of Today (MWOT), a non-profit organization. MWOT will then donate the proceeds from the event to local non-profits including Our Daily Bread, Westside Benevolent Circle, Mansfield Police and Fire, Mass Arts Center, Friends of the Library, COA, Keep Mansfield Beautiful, and other local charitable groups.

How can I learn more about the organization running this event?

You can learn more about the Mansfield Women of Today by clicking this link Link to our website or through our Facebook Page.

I have read through the FAQ’s and still have a question. Who can I contact with questions?

Questions can be sent to mansfield.wot.president@gmail.com
